World steel output fell in the first quarter
PARIS World steel output fell in the first quarter of this year due to a drop in steel output in China, EU Europe and the United States, according to the steel industry group yesterday.
World Steel Association, or worldsteel said in a statement that global crude steel output fell 3.6 percent in the first quarter first, compared to the same period last year, with steel output amounts to only 385.7 million tons.
